    Kids & Keyboards: (ages 3-6)

Children as young as 3 are welcome!  The curriculum is designed to introduce the language of music through singing, creative movement, ear training and playing the keyboard.  Students who complete two years of Kids & Keyboards are well prepared to begin private or group lessons in all instruments.

      The Benefit Line

Expressive Singing: to become familiar with folk tunes with words and to develop singing voice and musical expression.
Rhythm Pattern Clapping: the teacher claps a simple duple/triple rhythm pattern with the students copy by ear.
Keyboard Playing: to become comfortable with the keyboard by playing repeated patterns by ear along with fun accompaniment.  These short songs and exercises are used to develop aural, visual and coordination skills.
Solfege Singing: to establish a sense of pitch and sound.  The teacher sings short patterns which the students copy by ear.
Creative Movement: to develop a sense of rhythm and creativity while having fun with classmates.
      • Develop social and intellectual skills through group music lessons
      • Also enriches preschool or kindergarten curriculum
      • The main goal of Kids & Keyboards is music popularization-introducing children to music and children will discover that making music is fun!!!!
